Jill Slouchy Free Crochet Pattern
This free crochet pattern is great for teens and adults! The pattern is beautiful with variegated and solid yarn! Make one for you, your friends and family!
Yarn: Medium Weight (weight 4)
Used: I love this Yarn!
Sewing thread and needle
Slip Stitch (sl st)
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
4” square in sc = 12 rows and 12 stitches
Please check gauge and adjust accordingly
This is crocheted in one panel, and then one side will be sewn together. To finish, you will cinch one end and add a brim to the other.
Row 1: Turn, sc in second chain from hook, skip next 2 chains, 3dc in next chain, *ch3, skip next 3 chains, sc in next chain, skip next 2 chains, 3dc in next chain, repeat from * to complete the row.
Row 2: Turn, ch1, sc in first dc, skip next 2dc, 3dc in next sc, *ch3, sc in next dc, skip next 2 dc, 3dc in next sc, repeat from * to complete row.
Repeat row 2 until hat is 11 inches.
With the yarn needle, sew the sides together evenly. Cinch one end together.
Join your yarn in any stitch on the remaining open end, ch1, sc in each stitch for 5 rows continuously. To finish, sl st to the first stitch of the last row. Fasten off and weave in ends.
