Flower Bobble Blanket Free Crochet Pattern

Brighten any room with this fun flower bobble motif blanket. The bobbles in the flower add a fun texture that you need to try! My 3 x 3 squares are perfect for a stroller blanket but you can increase amount of squares to make any size of blanket you would like.
Materials:
Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice
Weight #4 Yarn
100% Acrylic
170yd/3.5oz per skein
1 skein in 4 colors: White, Hot
Pink, Yellow, Blue and Green
J/6.0mm Crochet Hook
Stitch Markers (assembly)

Legend:
Chain (ch)
Stitch (st)

Gauge:
12 sts x 16 rows in dc = 4” square

Notes:
1. The blanket is made in individual motifs, sl st together and then trimmed to finish.
2. Weave in ends as blanket progresses.
3. To change colors, finish all but last pull through on current stitch, drop current color, pick up next color and finish stitch.

Measurement:
Each motif is 5” x 5”. Border adds 1” to each side.


Special Stitch:
Bobble: Yarn over, insert hook into next stitch, yarn over pull yarn back through, yarn over, pull yarn through first 2
loops. * Keeping current loops on hook, yarn over, insert hook into SAME stitch, yarn over, pull yarn back through, yarn
over, pull yarn through first 2 loops, repeat from * 2 more times (total of 4 times). Yarn over, pull yarn through all loops
on hook to complete.

Increasing instructions:
You can make your blanket any size by adding as many motifs as you would like. I made mine as a stroller blanket (3 x
3 squares) but you could make your blanket as large as you prefer.

Motif:
Using Green, ch 4.
Round 1: 10 dc in the first chain, sl st to the first dc.
(10 sts) Join flower color (see notes), fasten off Green.
Round 2: Ch 1, (sc, bobble) in each stitch around, sl st
to the first sc to join. (20 sts)
Round 3: Ch 1, * sc, 2 sc in next st, repeat from *
around, sl st to the first st to join. (30 sts)
Round 4: Ch 1, * sc, bobble in next st, (sc, bobble) in
next st, repeat from * around, sl st to the first st to join.
Join White, fasten off flower color. (40 sts)
Round 5: Ch 1, sc 4, hdc, dc, (tr, ch 1, tr) in next st, dc,
hdc, * sc 4, hdc, dc, (tr, ch 1, tr) in next st, dc, hdc,
repeat from * to complete rnd, sl st to the first sc to
join.
Round 6: Ch 1, sc 7, 4 dc in ch 1 space, * sc 10, 4 sc
in ch 1 space, repeat from * to last ch 1 space, sc 3, sl
st to the first st to join. Fasten off.

Assembly:
Lay squares in desired arrangement and use stitch
markers to line up edges and hold together for joining.
Working in the back loop only of each square, working
with the yarn on the bottom sl st to join.
When working across a joined row, ch 1, skip over
current sl st and continue to sl st squares together.

Border:
Round 1: Join Yellow (or any of the flower colors) in
third stitch in any corner in the back loop, ch 1, (sc, ch
1, sc) in same stitch, ch 1, sk 1 st working in the back
loop only throughout round, * sc in next, ch 1, sk 1,
repeat from * to third sc in corner, (sc, ch 1, sc) in
corner, repeat from * to complete round, sl st to the
first st to join. Fasten off.
Round 2: Join next flower color in ch 1 space in corner,
ch 1, (sc, ch 1, sc) in same stitch, ch 1, * sc in next ch
1 space, ch 1, sk 1, repeat from * to ch 1 space in
corner, (sc, ch 1, sc) in ch 1 space, repeat from * to
complete round, sl st to the first st to join. Join next
flower color.
Round 3: Repeat Round 2.
Round 4: Join White and repeat Round 2. Fasten off.
